We inspire investment in community renewable energy (CORE) projects . We want to Inform, Consult, Involve, Collaborate and, most of all, Empower local people.
Are you passionate about what we're doing? Let us know! We are always looking for volunteers to help us make our vision a reality. We'll help you find a way to volunteer that best suits you. We're excited to have you join the team!
Whether you help through volunteering your time, or spreading our mission through word-of-mouth, thank you. We couldn't accomplish our goals without the help of supporters like you.
To enable community investment in local commercial-scale renewable energy projects, ensuring the financial benefits are retained by members of our community
To ensure more affordable and cleaner electricity for the Southern Highlands
To create the opportunity for more local jobs through the design, manufacture, installation, operation and maintenance of the renewable energy projects we build
To enhance engagement by being a catalyst for community conversation about renewable energy
To empower our community members to actually DO SOMETHING towards a cleaner environment
To provide financial support from part of the cashflow of each project to community projects through ongoing community grants
We are planning to find sites for large scale commercial solar installations (up to 5MW) within the Southern Highlands. This would require up to 5 hectares (12 acres) of land. Three phase power needs to be available close to the site. Are you a local landholder? Are you interested in renewable energy? Want to know more? Send us an email and we will contact you.
Smaller scale (up to 500 KW) solar projects that can supply a most, or even all, of a business' electricity requirements. These installations don't require grid connection as all the power is used by the business hosting the solar on site. Significant savings (often more than 20%) on power bills can be achieved. Whether you own the site or not, we can arrange a no obligation free quote for your business. Email us for more information.
SCORE will be partnering with a local energy retailer and Wingecarribee Council to find ways to install solar on as many community halls and buildings as possible. This will save the council, and by extension all ratepayers, significant costs.
We are seeking land owners in the Southern Highlands who might have interest in hosting a community renewable energy project on their land. You could earn a good commercial return. Contact us by email to find out more.
Do you own a business in the Southern Highlands? Do you have a factory or office building that could benefit from solar panels on the roof space? Do you have some solar, but would like more and can't justify the additional expense? Could part of your work site host a solar installation? Whether owner or tenant, you could save significantly on your energy bills. Contact us by email for more details.
Are you a member or leader of a local community group? We are seeking assistance from community groups to increase awareness of community renewable energy opportunities. Email us for more information.
Are you interested in being a part of a community effort to get the Highlands 100% renewable? We are seeking volunteers to help spread the word about what we are doing. Email us and we will add you to our list of volunteers.
We are seeking community members who would be interested in investing in local renewable energy projects. Investment opportunities could start from as little as $1,000. Email us for more information.
